Age Limit as on 01-01-2017: Candidates age should have attained 21 years and should not have attained 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.
Exam Fee: General category candidates will pay Rs.400/-; SC/ ST/ OPRC category candidates pay Rs.100/-
in shape of system generated e-challan in cash at any branch of Punjab National Bank, or by using Visa/ Master Card/ Credit/ Debit Card.

About Himachal Pradesh PSC
The establishment of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission was established on 8th April 1971. The operation of Public Service Commission in regard of the civil services and posts along with the affairs of the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh appeared to be produced by the Union Public Service Commission whichwas under Article 315 of the Constitution of India.A State Public Service Commission could possibly be constituted at the same time with the accomplishment of Statehood, the Union Public Service Commission, on a demand from the Governor of the State of Himachal Pradesh with the acceptance of the President of India, consented to provide the requirements of Himachal Pradesh until the organization of a Public Service Commission for the State or for a time period of 90 days from 25th January, 1971 whichever was before.
The establishment of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission were declared by Governor of Himachal Pradesh. The regulation recommended that Himachal Pradesh PSC will comprise of the members who are approved by Governor and they are Chairman and the two members. The first Chairman of Himachal Pradesh PSC was Lt. General (Retd.) K. S. Katoch, M.V.C. The strength of Commission has increased from 2 to 3. Currently the composition of the Commission is under the Chairman is Sh. K.S. Tomar.
The main function of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is that it will be the responsibility of the Public State Commission to conduct the examination for the appointments those who are working on the State and Union services. Different vacancies come out every year in Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission. Several methods of recruitment are followed for selecting the candidates.
